What We Do
Programs & Services
What We Do
Three Areas of Focus. One Mission.
Our programs are designed in close partnership with healthcare facilities, public health agencies, and community organizations across southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas. Each program addresses a distinct gap in the regional healthcare landscape — and together, they form a comprehensive approach to community health.
Program 01
Public Health Promotion
Reaching communities before the crisis.
Our public health promotion programs work upstream — educating communities, connecting residents to preventive services, and partnering with local organizations to reduce barriers to care. We focus on the populations most often left behind by traditional healthcare delivery.
Services Include
- Assisting with the provision of basic needs to community residents
- Health literacy programs for underserved populations
- Partnership development with local public health agencies
Current Programs
- Community Resource Center in Decatur, Arkansas
- Clinic Food Pantries
- Food is Medicine and Food Insecurity Programs
- Partnership with the Webster County Health Unit on the CHAMP program.
Impact: Connecting residents to preventive care and resources for social determinants of health across the Ozarks region
Program 02
Caregiver Support
Supporting those who support others.
Caregivers — both professional and family — are the backbone of the healthcare system. Our caregiver support programs provide training, resources, and respite services that reduce burnout, improve care quality, and help caregivers sustain their vital work over the long term.
Services Include
- Caregiver training and professional development
- Mental health and wellness support for caregivers
- Workforce retention programs for healthcare facilities
Current Programs
- Employee Hardship Fund
- Employee Wellbeing Program
- Manager Scholarship Program
- Change Maker program
Impact: Reducing caregiver burnout and improving care quality across the region
Program 03
Health Services
Building the infrastructure communities need.
In many parts of the Ozarks, the most pressing need is simply access — to a clinic, a provider, or a basic health service. We work with healthcare organizations to establish and maintain health services in underserved areas, with a particular focus on patients who face financial or geographic barriers to care.
Services Include
- Assist health care organizations with developing new services or needed infrastructure and technology in underserved communities
- Patient-centered care coordination
- Telehealth access and support
- Chronic disease management programs
Current Programs
- The Community Resource Center in Decatur provides telehealth access
- Partner in Ozarks Community Care Coordination under a Rural Care Coordination grant program to improve access and chronic disease conditions
- Assist organizations with grant writing or funding applications
Impact: Expanding access to care for patients regardless of ability to pay
Our Approach
Patient-Centered. Community-Rooted.
Every program we develop starts with listening. We work alongside healthcare facilities, their workforces, and the patients they serve to design interventions that are practical, sustainable, and genuinely responsive to local needs. Our service area spans a number of counties throughout southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas — and our programs are built to meet each community where it is.
